By the time Ohio State faces someone for the BCS championship on Jan. 8, the Buckeyes will have last played 50 days before. In that time, the Ohio State men’s basketball team will have played 11 games, the Bears will be enjoying a first-round bye in the playoffs, and three more Cubs pitchers will get injured.
